| MISSION |
| To advance police administration and crime prevention; to develop and disseminate improved administrative and technical practices; to foster cooperation and the exchange of information among North Carolina police executives; to promote enlistment and training; to encourage high professional standards; to secure unity in police matters; to elevate standards for police institutions; and to promote police efficiency. |

| PURPOSE |
| The purpose of the North Carolina Police Executives Association shall be to advance the science and art of police administration and crime prevention; to develop and disseminate improved administrative and technical practices and promote their use in police work; to foster police cooperation and the exchange of information and experience among executives throughout North Carolina; to bring about enlistment and training in the police profession of qualified persons; to encourage adherence of all police officers to high professional standards; to secure unity of action in police matters; to advance and elevate the standard of police institutions and the recognition thereof by the general public; to secure the adoption and enforcement of laws pertaining to the detection and prevention of crime; and to promote police efficiency in general. |
